Wagyu beef butcher shop R-C Ranch opens at the Houston Farmers Market
A specialty butcher shop selling Wagyu beef and other items opened on Dec. 17 at the Houston Farmers Market in the Heights.
It’s the first storefront for R-C Ranch, a 2,800-acre cattle ranch in Brazoria County that sells its humanely and naturally raised meats direct-to-consumer.
Owners Blake Robertson and Ryan Cade started R-C Ranch in 2010, a family farm where the cattle live their entire lives on pasture. They use a breeding process that uses the best attributes from three Wagyu bloodlines: the Japanese breeds Kedaka, Tajima and Shiname.

Market closed only on Christmas Day
